I just couldnt wait to tell somebody what happened to me yesterday. I have been procrastinating about visiting the optometrist to get my eyes checked for some T glasses so I can legally drive at night. I made an appointment with a guy named John Palassis, who was recommended by Joy Glengarry. ( Joy completed the NVI course with Janet some 12 years ago). So along I go to the appointment and he does his thing. We talk about the holistic stuff around eyes and he surprised me by saying that he had in the past attended workshops by Jacob Leiberman and Roberto Kaplan. He has also previously arranged workshops for optometrists only, with Leiberman which have been a great success. His view is that both Kaplan and Leiberman have set themselves apart from the opto-profession whereas he sees it is more sensible to change it from within. Great stuff ..and then he asks me if I rememebr my last prescription, which of course I do, being the one I got just before coming to Qld. I tell him I was given -6.25 in each eye and he laughs saying that if I was to wear that prescription glasses it would suck my eyes out. I no longer have my most recently prescribed glasses, but still have the previous pair from about 8 years ago I gave them to him to check the prescription at that time and they were for -4.5. Anyway he is giving me some night time driving glasses at -3.5!! So I am sure that I have reduced my RE by AT LEAST 1.25 diopters since I started NVI !!!!
